I did consider adding extras but in the end opted for a simple version where people could learn from some of the code. In particular, the collision detection is interesting because it doesn't use methods such as point-in-polygon, but rather per-pixel hit detection using images (the polygon's are pre-rendered onto their own images). I might consider forking this and making a version that looks a lot different with new features, but at the moment I've got a load more projects on the go :) Thanks for playing :)

so this is a solid remake, but you should add some extra features that make it a new gaming experience like combos or weapon upgrades
